Over the past few years, violence in schools has risen dramatically. Advances were made to prevent tragedies such as the one that occurred at Columbine High School in Colorado, but if schools are so desperate to reduce violence, why hasn't dissection been eliminated?

About 100 years ago, zoos and circuses started out almost as twins. Even thirty years ago, there wasn't a great difference between the two, other than the significant stress circus animals face from constant travel. Zoos and circuses were all about animals as entertainers.

Recently, the activist group sent campus newspapers affiliated with the top 10 "party schools" and top 10 "stone-cold sober schools" advertisements relating to its "Got Beer?" campaign. In the spring, PETA plans to show up to the same colleges and further its cause.
