If you were anywhere near 4th Avenue and Church Street on Monday, you were most likely shocked by what you saw. In an effort to protest the violent treatment of circus elephants, a member of PETA - People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - laid on the sidewalk, shackled at her ankles, wearing nothing but underwear.

Even though it's important to look for the best in people, it's hard not to feel the world would be a better place if people like Tim Frisco weren't around stinking it up. People who are cruel to animals are bad enough, but folks who actually make a living at it, and even seem to take pleasure in it, are pretty much scraping the bottom of the Homo sapiens cesspool.
